Our customers

Connexa provides tower infrastructure to a range of organisations that provide digital services. They include Mobile Network Operators, Telecommunications Service Providers, as well as Enterprise and Government businesses that provide critical communications services or require access to wireless technology.

OUR OWNERS

Connexa is a specialist mobile tower infrastructure company. It is owned by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (OTPP) as a majority shareholder (83%) and Spark New Zealand Limited has a 17% interest.

Connexa operates a nationwide portfolio of more than 2350 mobile sites and is responsible for an ongoing build programme of new sites throughout New Zealand.

December 2022

Connexa announces agreement to acquire 2degrees towers subject to regulatory approvals.

Spark TowerCo rebrands to Connexa.

October 2022

Ontario Teachers Pension Plan (OTPP) completes transaction with Spark and “Spark TowerCo” acquires 1267 towers with a forward build commitment of 670 towers over 10 years.

July 2022

Spark announces sale of 70% of their passive tower network to Ontario Teachers Pension Plan (OTPP), subject to regulatory approvals.

New Zealand’s first commercial 5G mobile service activated on our tower network

1987

New Zealand’s first mobile tower erected in Howick, Auckland. The original site is still in use today.

Health & safety

Ensuring the health and safety of the public, our customers, and our staff is of the upmost importance to Connexa. To do this, we have an Occupational Health and Safety Management System in place which encompasses areas such as Hazard and Risk Management, Event (Incident) Management, Injury Management and Emergency Management.
