Nokia and Connexa partner to streamline network operations
Connexa has selected Nokia as its exclusive Network Operations Center (NOC) partner. This strategic move allows Connexa to consolidate from multiple local providers to a single partner, simplifying operations, improving efficiency, and enhancing network availability for its customers.
Connexa will leverage Nokia’s global expertise, tools, and best practices in network operations automation. The collaboration will help accelerate Connexa’s automation maturity while providing scalability and resilience to meet the growing demands of New Zealand’s evolving digital infrastructure landscape.
Nokia’s NOC provides centralised management and proactive monitoring of critical infrastructure, ensuring network reliability, security, and performance. Connexa’s adoption of Nokia’s managed services platform marks a significant milestone for both companies and the broader tower industry, demonstrating how collaboration and automation can drive new efficiencies and innovation across network operations.
This partnership sets a precedent for the tower industry, as it is the first time in Oceania a TowerCo has chosen to outsource its network operations to a global NOC services provider rather than managing them in-house or through CSPs. It also reinforces Nokia’s leadership in managed services, supporting its growth strategy across the Asia–Pacific region.
Andrew Cope, Head of Market Unit Oceania at Nokia, said: “Working with customers like Connexa that embrace operational innovation is key to advancing automation and efficiency across the tower ecosystem. Our global NOC capabilities bring trusted performance, security, and efficiency, enabling Connexa to simplify operations and focus on enhancing connectivity in New Zealand.”
Rob Berrill, CEO at Connexa, said: “Nokia brings global expertise, backed by deep local experience, helping Connexa better manage its distributed tower network – over 2,500 sites (and counting) across Aotearoa New Zealand. We can help enable greater resilience in our customers’ networks, an important benefit considering New Zealand’s diverse weather and landscapes.”
