Connexa’s two new executive appointments

Connexa has announced the appointment of two new executive leaders, strengthening its leadership team as the company enters its next phase of growth and delivery.

Ben Hawley has joined Connexa as Chief Delivery Officer, a newly created role on the executive team, while Rochelle Clancy will commence as Chief People Officer in March. Together, the appointments reflect Connexa’s continued evolution as it scales its operations, expands its delivery programme, and grows its team.

The Chief Delivery Officer role has been established to provide dedicated executive focus on Connexa’s significant build programme of 800 mobile tower sites over the next five years. Ben Hawley has relocated from Australia to take up the role, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience across the telecommunications, energy, and infrastructure sectors. Most recently Managing Director of NetworkCO, Hawley has worked with major Australian telecommunications providers and infrastructure operators, with a strong track record of delivering complex national build programmes and leading organisational transformation.

Rochelle Clancy joins Connexa as Chief People Officer, bringing deep expertise in people, culture, and organisational performance across financial services, telecommunications, construction, and property. She most recently served as Chief People Officer at Quotable Value and has held senior people leadership roles at Fletcher Building, Spark, and JPMorgan in London.

Connexa CEO Rob Berrill says the appointments mark an important milestone in the company’s journey.

“Connexa was established in 2022, and in just over three years we’ve grown to a team of more than 95 people and over 2,500 mobile tower sites across Aotearoa. It's essential that our executive team evolves to support the scale and complexity of our work,” says Berrill.

“Ben’s appointment reflects the size and importance of the delivery programmes ahead of us, while Rochelle brings deep expertise in leading purpose-driven people and culture strategies and increasing organisational capability. Together, they will play a critical role in ensuring Connexa continues to deliver for our customers and communities, helping to enable connectivity while putting our team at the centre of everything we do.”

The appointments underscore Connexa’s commitment to building a leadership team that can support long-term growth, operational excellence, and a strong, inclusive culture as the company continues to mature.
